Out of Network Insurance Plans:

Clients insured by companies not listed may be reimbursed by insurance plan only if part of their policy. It is advised that you call your insurance company to determine eligibility and any reimbursement available.

Benefits of Private Pay:

Choosing to pay privately out of pocket (without insurance) helps to ensure utmost confidentiality and privacy when working together. With private pay, medical records can not be released to any third party without consent. Also, when using insurance a diagnosis must be provided and will become part of your medical record. However, if one chooses to pay privately or opt out of his/her insurance plan, information about the nature of treatment and the issues discussed in session will remain safely between the provider and client. Thus, it is important to consider which option you prefer prior to beginning treatment. Please advise your provider in advance if you wish to optout of your insurance plan.

Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits or sometimes referred to as behavioral health?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is a prior authorization or approval required from my primary care physician?
  • Do I have out of network benefits?
  • Are the cpt codes 90846 and 90847 covered?
  • Are 60 minute sessions allocated?
  • Are there any restrictions on the location of the client or the provider?
  • Is the reimbursement rate the same for telehealth reimbursements?
  • Is a modifier needed for any services?
